Recording ROI in MSN/Yahoo and conversions
Hi Guys,
I have a question on monitoring conversions in MSN, Yahoo and Google. I'll keep it brief here: We currently use software called Bidcenter which manages all 3 search engine PPC accounts. We use it to record sales on our ecommerce site. Within it we are able to see a £/$ ROI for each keyword. E.g. x keyword cost us £100 this month and produce £345.99 in sales. In other words, there is some conversion code in our order confirmation page that records the final £/$ total of each order and makes a log of it. Is anyone able to offer any advice on whether this kind of conversion recording is possible in the regular MSN, Google and Yahoo PPC accounts? I know there is a way of recording if a sale has been made or not but it doesn't record the amount of that sale. I've tried calling MSN tech support and Yahoo and quite frankly I may as well not have bothered as they are simply not interested regardless of how much my employers may decide to spend with them. Useless doesn't come close. Can anyone with any experience on this provide any insight? Dan |

Hey Dan
I know that you can put dynamic values in yahoo analytics. Also I'm sure you can do this using google analytics. As google analytics also does cross marketing channels, this may be the one for you. You may have to do some small PHP coding to supply the dynamic variables. I don't think MSN has any dynamic conversion tracking. Tat. |

Thanks, Tat. I've been doing some ongoing research this afternoon since posting this and found some dynamic conversion info on Yahoo and Google. The same can't be said for MSN though, very basic in comparison!
