Problems with conversion rate column

hello,

i hope everyone doing google adwords have seen conversion rate column. For my new website that column is currenlty showing 0 percent conversion rate. My old website was optimized by a friend from whom i learnt ppc. I have one problem now. I have many ppc advertisements running on google and microsoft. Everything is ok , iam getting some clicks as well, lots of impressions as well (* dont think impression counts in building traffic to your website). But my conversion rate is 0. But i know people are buying from those advertisements. I myself did an experiment and bought three things a couple of weeks ago from my website.

My problem is how would i know if a customer had a click on the advertisement that i placed in Google and then bought an item from the company. I know there is some code need to be inserted to track sales but wherein i can find that code?

which code should i put , generate or whatever?

Thanks in advance,

Best Wishes

Under the "Campaign Management" tab (green on top), you should see a link that says "Conversion Tracking." Click the link and you see a large button that says "Start Conversion Tracking." You will then be taken to a page where you will have a choice of types of conversions.

Place a check box by Purchase/Sale, unless you also have a contact form and/or a newsletter. If users either have to purchase or leave, choose only the Purchase/Sale conversion. It will then lead on to the code that needs to be placed on the "Thank you Page" after purchasing.

Google Analytics offers a dynamic, much more detailed,
ecommerce conversion tracking system that accounts for latent buyers, visitor value, and multiple product and transaction metrics. It is definitely more complicated, but worth the effort to learn. If this conversion tracking seemed difficult, I would suggest enlisting the services of a professional (not me, all booked).

Are you sure you didn't add code, or someone else? There is no other reason why you would see it.
