Hello, I am a new member. Networking meetings, ad marketing abound in this terrible market. Last week, I received a call from Wisdek, claiming that they were part of Google. I have to admit that given what I paid for on-line advertising, I was attracted by the low price. First I got a call from a "Danielle." I then got an email from a "Gabrielle." Then I got another email from a "Dan" who was supposed to be a supervisor. The problem was that the first email was not to me but a generic email which was sent to another person named "David." I immediately thought this was weird. I requested a proposal by their company outlining exactly what they offer and what they were responsible for. Instead I got a contract and request for payment. Immediately I got suspicious.

This morning I got a phone call from the Danielle who said that was the proposal. I told her that the contract stated nothing more than the cost and some liability if the service was down. It was pretty skimpy and really showed no accountability by the company. I requested her to send me a proposal of exactly what her company was offering in a legal document. For the record, she didn't know what a proposal was. I then got the call from "Dan" who told me that is all that they offer as information legally. I told him that the research that I had done on Wisdek revealed a lot of stories of folks being scammed or unhappy with their service. He replied that because Wisdek was such a large company, there would alway be folks unhappy with something.

After speaking with him, I let him know that I know about large corporations and businesses and that I worked in law for more than 25 years as a paralegal for the 17th largest law firm in U.S. As a matter of fact, I also worked in my early years for Gulf & Western, writing contracts for the Sports Special of the Week as well as licensing American movies for release in foreign lands. Yes, even though these companies may be targeted by some individuals and I also know that you cannot please everyone all the time, I was concerned that I as a person pretty knowledgeable about contract law and business, was surprised that Widek was actually offering little information for little money. Maybe that is their key.

In a nutshell, I told them that before I make a decision, I would do some more research on their business and offerings. I thanked Dan and he wished me a nice day. 15 minutes later, I got another call from Danielle trying to talk me into buying into this service. My thoughts are that if this service is so good, why the hard sell? I told Danielle's supervisor that I wanted to do my own research and thought he would leave it at that. I would appreciate any comments on this.

I received a call this morning from an "unavailable" number and when I answered they said, "Hello, how are you doing today?" I should have known right then that they were a scam. Most common people state their name, business affiliation (if any), and the purpose of the call. Anyways, I ended up talking to a girl for a little bit and she went through everything that has already been mentioned above in this thread. I was really excited at the prospect of cheap advertisement at the top of Google until I found this post. Luckily I was like the last person to post above me and I asked for a proposal and a business agreement. They sent me one crappy little piece of paper titled "Contract Agreement/Proposal for Services"....ha. It was an agreement from "Daniele Rose" to me totalling $350USD/yr for a google local and google 411 package. This seems pretty cheap. Don't think I should go for it though. Any thoughts?

well I actually went ahead and tried their service, after they gave me 2 referals to talk to and they both were happy and turned out that i did some business with one of'em in the past. I had around 25 kywds with google and only gave them 5 to work with. to be honest i was expecting a moderate service as a best case senario and hopeing its not a scam, turned out surprisingly well, my CTR increased 2% in the first month... It's not great but i would give it a B+...

We Are A Small Company At Australia. A Few Weeks Ago Wisdek Contact Us And Offred Us A Premiumsposored Ink For Three Key Word At The Top Of Google . It Costs Us $4000. We Accepet The Deal And Paied Half Of The Money As Athe First Payment. Then Nothing Happened. They Said That They Are Going To Fixed It But They Didnt. After Two Weeks We Asked Them To Refund The Money As They Couldn’t Offer Us The Service. They Refuned $700 From $2000. Well They Said Becase We Canceled The Deal. But How When They Coun’t Offer Us The Service? They Did Nothing For Us…. Bastred

I'm using their service and that didnt happen!! Who were you dealing with from there?

I don't know... I deal with Ken and Steve, and I am the kind that likes to keep a close look into my adwords since 30% of the sales are coming from the website.. I paid them $7000 total, even referred one of my mates and he's happy with them too... Maybe what happened with you is just bad luck..

mate you can't say it is bad luck. they offered us a service that they couldn't provide us.... we paid the money and asked for the service....nop...how come before the contract they called us every second, but after charging us and no service they didn't call us back even once despite they promised to fix the problem ????? company like wisdek make us to lose trust with any other company.i hope to give that $2000 to medicine for their kids ..mother****ers

Nathan08, Sure the Wisdek System may work for three people people world-wide but when your whole pitch is a lie then there's an issue.

1. They say they are Google
2. They claim they have sole rights to the top sponsored results.
3. They guarantee you placement at the top for your keywords.

Wisdek's Customer Service seems to be a revolving door of high-pressure scam artists. Wisdeks business practices are immoral and should be illegal.

What's your website address Nathan08, I'd like to check it out and any chance you could forward the two "references" just like to see how their doing.

I dont really care if it worked for 3 or 30000, it worked for me, not perfect but it works. If these guys just try to scam me I would get them back in no time as I have alot of buisness relationships in canada, and they would close down the next day. I was just saying my opinion about what i bought as anyone on this chat room. So do not give me any attitude. If they called you or you called them or what ever you can request the referrals from them yourself. Good day.
