PPC Vs. Untargeted Traffic

What do you think about this comparison?

Is PPC that much better even though it is a lot more expensive?

Any advice would be helpful.

I do both... and it pay$. Play for ALL of the customers. I run PPC even when I am #1 on the same SERP. This gives me a chance to show TWO OFFERS on the same page of Google. Sometimes I have three offers if I can nail down a double indented listing.

Your PPC ad gives you a chance to get an offer in front of the customer that might be unrelated to their search term. Sometimes these can convert well. My PPC ads can be unexpected surprises for the searcher.

EGOL,

Is there a specific cheap traffic site you work with? I think I'll try 1000 visitors and see if I get a click or two to my G ads.

I confine my PPC to google and overture. I have used some of the smaller services and have not found them to be useful.

Good traffic isn't cheap. You will either have to bid for it or work hard to earn it. More discussion here...

To me, the big advantage of PPC is the ability to state your ad exactly as you desire, but I only target the niche, uncompetitive phrases that cost close to minimum for a top 10 listing. Not huge traffic but they always produce more revenue than they cost.

Additionally, the secondary PPCs I have used generated tons of traffic, at a nickle or less per click but had less conversions than the cost.
