PPC Time Mangement

Just looking to see how much time some of you spend on managing and looking over your PPC campaigns. Do you watch it for 8 hours a day? Check it out every 2-3 days?

I am sure the responses will vary based on # of campaigns being managed and your industry but we are looking to get an idea of how much time and attention to focus on a PPC campaign. We don't want to neglect it but don't want to hover over it all day as we have other things to do.

First of all, thanks for responding in the other thread.

Secondly, to answer your question. I was managing up to 5 at one point as a novice (I still consider myself novice). I currently have 3 and I'm constantly juggling monitoring these with my other duties. Depending on the reports that others are asking me to create, it can take me all day. It's always interesting being self taught and not having a mentor in this.

Before you start get deep education. Do the adwords professional course, read SEOSTEW's posts here and garythescubaguy. Then read the books "Buying Your Way To The Top" and "Call To Action".

After you have knowledge the time require to manage your ads will be less and the impact greater.

Well, when I started my paid search campaigns, I spend a lot of time to track and monitor such adwords campaign but then I realized that I should take services from any expert ppc management company and it worked. Really i'm happy with the performance they are showing because I'm getting better lead generation and more revenue. So I personally advice to take services from any low cost ppc management company for this purpose and no need to worst your time.

It can be pretty tempting to watch them all the time. But the important thing is that you start small and optimize gradually but relentlessly. Landing pages, keyword choices, etc.

Once you find a good combination - you can afford to watch a good bit less - and let your campaigns go on "auto pilot" - as long as you are fine with your budget level. But you will still need to keep an eye on them - to watch for increasing competition and prices in your keywords - especially if you are in a narrow niche - or using some quite specific phrases that can get "bid up"
