Hi Doug! There are a few main points to consider when searching through the tools:
1) Do you only care about PPC campaigns or do you also want to see other types of marketing campaigns & organic search results? 2) What types of conversions do you want to track and how much info do you want to capture. E.g. Sales conversions with amounts, User Registration, Downloads, etc. 3) How many campaigns do you want to manage? Some tools charge per campaign while others do not. 4) What information is the most important to you? Drill down reports, User Clickpath Analysis, True ROI Calculation, Automatic profit calculation, etc. In no particular order, here are a few links: http://www.trackingroi.com http://www.gotoast.com http://www.websidestory.com http://www.enterurl.com |

Alternative approach to management & results analysis
Hi Doug,
Not sure what the etiquette on this board is w.r.t. self promotion but I see precedent, so I'm going to let you know about Bubz which takes a new approach to optimizing Adwords campaigns. Bubz statistically analyses the ROI of each of your campaigns to determine, given a limited budget, the optimum bid positions for each keyword. The URL is http://www.bubz.net/ It's a new service so I'm keen on all feedback. I'm even looking for people to help test it. Neil. |

Im looking for a batter PPC management tool.
Go-toast was the best so far, but they arnt fond of adult content. We have used several others, but their stats, and out stats from google and our own program didnt mesh. We used ppcbidtracker, but it wouldnt work out w/ our affiliate program. hypertracker seems ok, but gets caught by anti-spyware, so i think it may be useless. I need to look more at the other ones posted here. |

I tried bubz.net but gave up on it. Usually, if I can't figure out something like that in a half hour, its not worth the time. I found the instuctions to be basic at best. I followed them and nothing happened. No error message or anything but it just returned to the same screen. It also has a chart that requires side scrolling which I can't stand.
I'm not saying anything bad about the actual product. I'm sure its great but I couldn't get it to work so I've moved on. Jason |

Jason,
Thanks for your feedback - it's a shame that you couldn't contact me directly and have me address your issues before posting here. bubz.net is brand new and usability is being worked on all the time. Those users who have managed to upload Daily Metrics Keyword Reports (this was where you were going wrong) have seen profit improvements from 50% to 750%. The error message that you received was "Complete Header not Found - Read more Missing keys: Date". I'll admit a little cryptic. I'll be fixing the code to suggest uploading "Daily metrics" rather than "Summary data" in this case. Neil Smith. |

I had thought you were looking for feedback as you stated in the post - I wasn't saying anything that bad. Through your other posts, I know you believe in the product and like I said earlier, its probably a great product. My ppc campaigns are one part of my business and I wouldn't have the time to spend on learning a new interface from the ground up. I did try it again, as requested through email, but with more confusing results.
I know it may seem by posting my experience in the forum, I am discouraging people but in fact its the opposite. I would encourage people to try it for themselves and give feedback as an easy to use tool that helps your PPC effectiveness would always be welcome. I wasn't singling you out but you came onto the forum asking for people to try your tool so I did. Since I tried it from a recommendation on this forum, I left my feedback on this forum. Cheers, Jason P.S. If you do improve the interface, you can post that in this thread and I will give it another try Last edited by Jasontnyc : July 11th, 2004 at 11:49 AM. |
