PPC does it help natural listings?

Im not sure if this question has been asked before or not, but i will ask again.

Have any of you had experience or do you think if you are #1 for a PPC keyphrase that it may help your sites natural listings?

No. Well, not in my experience, and most SEOs would agree. There are a few who believe otherwise. You can read an interesting discussion on the topic here http://forums.seochat.com/google-op...tion-60489.html

Not really. PPC is good for the sandbox period, or while you get your SEO perfected and your organic listing rises in the SERPs. But don't pay Google for a spot on the sidelines expecting it to raise your pagerank.

Though Yahoo directory is different.
