Well, I would imagine that soliciting donations is going to be a very low conversion rate to begin with. So the best thing you can do is really make a nice website that makes people want to give money somehow (specifically what a website like that would be, I really have no idea though).

That IS a tough one... its hard to get people to part with their money even when you have one of the best deals on the web.

Hi Bogner! My advice is always to use many keywords and phrases and test, test, test. In order to find what works the best for your market, you need to spend the time needed to test the phrases, ads and landing pages that work best for you. Did I mention test? :-)

Since your doing charity work, I am able to offer you 50% off of the services of TrackingROI, Inc. If your interested, sign up for a free 30 day full trial and email support@trackingroi.com that you received my offer.

Best wishes and I'd like to help in any way I could. What is the cause?

No it doesn't matter too much. Adwords will get you more traffic and your website really has to make the final "sale" so to speak. If your getting traffic and your conversion rate is low than it's most likely the website at fault and not the PPC campaign. Follow these guy's lead http://www.bgca.org/ they have been around for while ;)

That said, you should wish to make sure you are specific in your PPC ads so that each person that clicks is already highly qualified as a potential buyer.

This is the cheif dif. vs. reg SERPs - there you will take any traffic you can get. When you PPC you should actively be choosey and ward away traffic that is too generic and might just be looking for info about your products (and not buying them).

Quick Tip: Not matter what do not do broad match! Use phrase match ("keyword") to target your audience.

I used to run broad match and was spending thousands for extra traffic that wasn't targeted. I turned all my terms to phrase match and was spending thousands less for the same amount of sales.

Also dont target generic terms like "charity" or "donations" BE SPECIFIC because users that donate money are very specific to whom they donate to so they will look for you very specifically.

:2 cents over:

In addition, I am also trying to get more traffic to a charity site I recently "donated" our help to....

The site is http://www.recyclingforcharity.com

They take in old cell phones, pagers, PDA's and digital cameras and recycle them- providing a fixed $ amount to the doner for their non-profit charity. It's a good program and benifits the enviromnent (no I am not trying to sell everyone)

I have created a PPC campagin and am having a low conversion ratio. The problem is that I don't want to drain the PPC budget on other words that realy dont relate to the subject matter.

My Keywords are:
cell phone donation
cell phone recycling
cell phone recycling charity
cellular phone donation
cellular donation
cellular recycling
charity program
donation programs
used cell phone donation
used cell phones
wireless donation
wireless recycling

I obtained about 100 Clicks and 10% conversion thus far.....and not spent much.

Any suggestions?
