Doesn't the PPC cost lots of money with little ROI? I have been wondering if this sounds like a good tool or just a tool to drain money from me.

Lots of people make handsome money with pay per click. Depends upon what you are promoting, if you can research good keyword and if you can write quality ads that get lots of clicks from the right people.

People who make the money put more effort into it than Saturday mornings in their PJ's while sipping coffee.

STUDY the book Catherine Seda's "Search Engine Advertising" for great info. This book is heavy going in some places but if you are determined to succeed in this market you need to exert yourself to do tracking, testing, testing, testing etc. If you don't track and test you will piss your money away.

Hi, all depends of what is your target, and how you use PPC.... If your PPC stragegy is good, it can bring you money.

Good tool in the right niches with the right tactics. Use phrases, not single words and know what people looking to buy the product type in when they search for it. In other words, lots of research.

Exactly, like all things in life, how successful you are depends on how good you are at it.

I would do some research and some small test campaigns to see how it works for you.

It's all about how you use it and what industry you're in. PPC was the most profitable of all kinds of advertising (other than word of mouth) for my last firm.

for your mortgage site are you capitolizing on people misspelling it? or is it spelled differently in some places?

PPC keywords must be sought out carefully. There are few good online tools to use, but its best to do a grassroots approach and test it out.
