PPC- Stumbleupon Campaign

**Mods - Hope this is right forum**

Im assuming stumbleupon is classed as ppc, as you pay 5c per visit.

Has anybody had much success with this site. I have no knowledge about it but decided i would try it. I have targeted Australia.25-60yr olds, darts players. I am absolutely amazed that I have spend $8 at 5c pc in just over 1 hr (800 visits). This thing would send me broke by tomorrow unless i watched my budget setup carefully. The site is showing 50 odd users online. Considering im new, just starting out, no rank and no serp of use, this is amazing. How good it will be for my products i dont know and dont really think it will be, but boy oh boy, dont they turn up?

Would love to hear some info from people that have sites suited to this environment, that have enjoyed success.

I will analyse the visitors through ga, bounce rate was a touch higer than average, drill down was 4 pages and average time on site was 50% under normal. Will check rest later.

Can this amount of visits help ranking or serps, even if people arent buying?? Is this traffic taken into account by G?

Just thought i would express amazement at the results in 1hr.

Im intersted if any of this traffic converted whatsoever, sounds kind of cheap, but if it works then whatever. Let us know if you did in fact get any sales from these and let us know the bounce rate and if they got past teh 1st page on your site. Im curious for myself, I may have to sign up and do a 50 dollar test myself. But the info you provide will determine if I do that. Let me know. Thanks, havent ever tried them but may have to give it a whirl. any reviews would be helpful

HI.

Well idiot me had it set to world wide, instead of only Australia. That made a huge difference.

Final stats showed bounce rate 98. 8 %, anybody who did enter only averaged 30secs, no apparent sales from there and i ceased it immediately. I have restarted making sure its set on 25-99yr olds, AUSTRALIA only. Much better. I must admit bounce rate is still high, but difference is yesterday only about 23 came through, so the cost is nothing. Big difference from $8 in 1 hr, on Sunday.

Hope this helps and i can update you in a week or so if you like.
