No sponsored results on yahoo.com?

I am using YSM/OVT and have a US and UK account. The listings in my UK account show up on yahoo.co.uk, but the listings in my US account are not showing on yahoo.com. In fact, with a couple of test searches on Yahoo.com, no sponsored results were shown at all. (the US account ads are being served, seen them on MSN and altavista).

Anybody know whether this is a new thing, a mistake, always been this way? Seems a bit odd, that Yahoo doesn't want to put their PPC ads on their main page.

Thanks for your help,

Pietro

Your listings should show up on Yahoo! unless you accidentally made them "content match" keywords instead of "paid search" ones. Double check that in your DTC account.

In the tests where no sponsored results showed up, it is possible that no one else is bidding on them.

How long has it been since your keywords were approved? Sometimes it takes Yahoo! a day or two to propagate new listings throughout their network.

You can also try looking in their "View Bids Tool" to see if they show up there. It has been known to happen where they show up in one place but not the other for a period of time. Go to http://uv.bidtool.overture.com/d/search/tools/bidtool/?mkt=us&lang=en_US

What is one of the keywords?

Bid Rank, thanks for your reply.

My keywords have been approved for ages. I didn't make any changes.

What I am experiencing, is that when searching on Yahoo.com, I don't get any sponsored results, regardless of whether I look for 'doll house', 'ford explorer tires', 'Lord of the Rings DVD' or '<my keywords>'. The only thing I see is the 10 search results.

I tried the View Bid Tool you suggested. My ads are showing up on the positions that the Yahoo SM system shows me too. No problem there.
As said, the ads are being served, according to the stats. If I search for the terms on MSN or altavista, they are showing up.

So, no actual 'real' problems with YSM. I pay to get my ads shown and they do, but I just wonder why the ads are not being served through Yahoo.com too.

I don't know of a setting that tells Yahoo! not to serve sponsored results in the SERPs, but I would flush your cookies and cache and try again. If that doesn't work, give Yahoo! a call.

That might be a good idea, will try now. However, I've asked some contacts to do the same search, to be able to rule out IP generated problems or desktop PC (browser or s.t.) settings. And those people were having the same problem.

Will let you know results.

Thanks again BidRank

FYI, I did try the 'ford explorer tires' phrase and had no problem.
