Need PPC advice/help

Hey all,

I've been reading up on successful PPC campaigns and bought a couple books as well. I followed a couple of the techniques given in the resources I've read and applied them to a simple Yahoo PPC campaign.

After about 2 weeks I have had 250,000 impressions and 240 clicks, but 0 leads.

Some of those clicks were due to bad keywords which I found and shutoff ... as I learned later they are called 'bleeders'. But they don't account for all 240 clicks.

At first I thought maybe there was something wrong with my forms, however I advertise in other places (not search engines) and get leads in those places. I even get a couple organic lead that trickle in from time to time.

I've made my ads catchy and my keywords, at least in my opinion are pretty good, they are targeted at the keywords in the form as well as i try to include them in the ads.

I'm starting to wonder if my forms are just not appealing to people, they see them and exit because they do not like the way they look?

If anyone has any suggestions or where I can at least look to fix my problem i'd appreciate it. I'd like to be able to start generating leads in the major search engines along with the leads I get from the smaller places.

It sounds to me like you may still have incorrect keywords or you may need to include negative keywords. Look at the keywords that are spending the money or getting most clicks and consider if they are too broad terms i.e. are they keywords like 'loans' or are they keywords like 'apply for cheap loans' the latter are obviously better. Also how competitive are you with your service/product? Is everyone else undercutting you. Look at the ads you are using to bring people to your site, do they qualify the visitor and have calls to action?

Can you give any insight into the keywords and the site you have?

Hi brap,

Why not share a link to your landing page and we can take a look and see if there is any obvious problem or what you might do to improve conversions?

If you are getting lots of impressions and clicks but no leads that mean there is a problem with your landing page.. Might be possible that what the visitor want are not available on your landing page so just check your landing page and find out that all the information are available or not what you are advertising through your Ad...
