You need to either spend a lot of time on ppc yourself by working and researching. Google, Yahoo and MSN all have seminars and guides/tests out there to help you...or you can hire someone who's job it is to manage PPC.

Doing this can be very effective getting the traffic to your site but can be very unpredictable in regards to the quality of traffic that you receive. Do some keyword analysis and weed out irrelevant searches using negative keywords and make sure the landing page is optimised.
