I used Adwords traffic estimator, but it is not showing numbers, it is only showing graph. Please Help |
Sometimes it is a waste of time to check every keyword before buying it. Just throw it in, wait a couple of weeks, and then you can project what the yearly/monthly impressions or searches would be. Make sure you are only looking at Google search impressions if you are interested in how many times the term was actually searched for. Unless you have opted out, this will also include searches from AOL, Ask, and Dogpile (and others).
The key is that you do not include the number from the content network, because those are not actual searches. In order to see a break down between search and content network, it's best to run a keyword report, in the reports section, on AdWords where it separates the two. You can also see a high level breakdown when you click into the adgoup details tab, not just the list of adgroups within a campaign.
If must get an estimate of impressions you can use Overture's Search tool. Just type it in Google and you will find it. Then multiple the number by three. Overture Tool does combine plurals and singulars, so each will have a certain share of each.
Or if you plan on doing this type of work on a larger scale, get a subscription to Wordtracker.
You will not be penalized if the key term gets no impressions, so if the terms applies, bid on it. If it converts, continue to bid on it. If it doesn't, delete it.
There is no standard CTR for keywords. It's based on the skill of the writer and how much they bid. Period. There is no way to project that, unless just in generalities of the industry.
