Hit Tail Update for ney-sayers

After taking the last 350 searches (not the terms in the actual hit tail graph, but the ACTUAL TERMS SEARCHED in the keywords tab) that Hit Tail provided, I ran a test campaign this weekend, set my bids at .05.

This campaign is now between my 4th-5th best campaign, after just 48 hours.

Most of these campaigns hold 5-6000 kw's, and were built from wordtracker, google suggest and a couple of other kw tools. So another words 350 vs. 5-6000 suggested G and Yoverture kw's.,

My overall spend dropped .03-.04 while maintaining my conversion rates and cost per conversion.

Remarks in this thread from members saying, "this is a great tool. but for words I'm already targeting." I just can't agree with.

Here's an example...

I target Ford Parts, as well as Ford Fiesta Parts, and many variations. My cpc is around .14-.17

I sort Hit Tail alphabetically and sort for the ford related queries. The cut and past into excel, clean it up and load it into the Ford campaign.

Because of the many variations of end-user searches, yes, you are correct, my traffic is coming here anyways, bu the difference is when I add searches Hit Tail finds for "parts for my ford fiesta", "ford fiesta quarter panel", "headlight assembly for a 1999 ford fiesta" and all of the other searches, my conversion jumps, my cost drops because this .05 term is now bumping my own listing that I pay 3 times as much for, because the quality is deemed higher.

The curios thing is that on my other 50,000 terms, I have 1000's of dedicated and optimized pages for each specific kw, but the 350 HL terms I have, are all going to my main page, thereby (one would assume) lowering the quality content, but it doesn't.

I emailed the developer, Mike Levin, to ask about a few tweaks, and I am currently building a 5000 HL campaign that I will keep everyone posted on the results.

Bottom line - My cpc is .05-.06 versus .14-.17 on these terms that yes, are already in my kw lists, but with variables that drop my cost/conversion, conversions have elevated, cost/conversion have dropped the overall c/c for my entire campaign. Leads have increased by 10%, and my cost for these leads have dropped dramatically.

Gary, you are a PPC don!

I am very interested in this. I can't wait to see how this effects your 5000 Kw campaign.

Thanks for the info.

I use the tool and have even promoted it on my blog. But I am starting to think twice about using it in future due to the daily spam on this forum.

Just makes you think that if the owners of this tool are happy to spam to get promotion for their products then god knows what they are doing with the data from the Hit tail users.

*Off to remove the code from my site

First off "Deano", if you did your homework before shooting off your pie hole, you could easily find out I have nothing to do with the company, and their is no affiliate deal offered by them either.

Secondly, what you do with your time, or code for that matter, is up to you. But don't go throwing blind accusations around before you do a little research to back up what you put in print. You come off looking less than knowing when every other member here knows me and knows I'm not pusing or spamming anyone, anywhere.

I DO my homework, and post the results here for those who wish to use it.

How about you do the same.

Gary,

Everytime I look on this forum I see you mentioning the tool on a NEW thread. You also posted your threads in the Google section even though it is NOT relevent and hence why this thread has been moved by the mods.

So why would someone post in the most popular section even though it is not relevent???? Perhaps so that more people see their spam?

I am not the first person to wonder why your threads have not been deleted and no doubt I will be the last.

For what it is worth I like the tool and am happy to recommend it to anyone I know (As i have already done). If the tool is genuinly useful (I believe it is) then you don't need to be spamming.... sorry, mentioning it every 5 mins.

Best of luck.

Deano... just a little info. Dave loves this tool... well he should because it is saving him money and making him even more. He has no involvement other than being a user of the tool.

Let's cool it before a flaming war erupts. The forum is about spreading the love. Have you spread any today?

I love my sites as well but I would get flamed if I mentioned them on here everyday. Looking through past threads it appears I am not the only one who feels this way. But what the hell, life is to short.

The tool is a good tool. Best of luck with it.

Alright Deano, I'm tired of wasting my time waiting for you to "do your homework" as I've repeated over and over, so let me fill you in...

The software isn't for sale, its a free beta, so even if I did work for them, I guess that blows a hole in your theories, but no worries mate. But next time, again, do you homework.

Have a fabulous day.
