In the story linked below which I came across (Source: Fortune Magazine), it talks about a blog that generates $5k per month from Google AdSense/Adwords products.
http://www.fortune.com/fortune/articles/0,15114,832244,00.html I've researched blogs a bit and my question for other members (the more experienced ones perhaps?) is: SEO + Original Content x (Outbound RSS Feeds) = Meaningful ad revenue? ($5k or more) What are your thoughts? Insights? -L. |

I think that he could make money. But this kid is smart. When I read that the ad was at the bottom I thought that was pretty dumb... but.... after going to the site i'd say that placement there is right on. I am resetting my blog to show just a few entries on front page and putting the adsense at the bottom.
Smart kid... I am checking out his site and getting ideas. I like that "More Topics" box. I need one of those. Great Idea.

Sub pages have ads at the top. Look at "Interviews" i your favorite box.

i agree with you i gone through his blogs and came to know that he is using various locations for placing ads. but dont you think he can earn three time more if he add three ad blocs in web page. i have not seen three ads at a time on his website.

I think that he could earn more with a second ad block. I am not so sure about a third. I have a hunch that if you get too aggressive with adsense your site will be filtered. No proof from lots of testing but just a hunch.

The link above shows his site stats & an average of 8,400 visits & 16,000 page views per day. @ $5,000 month or $167 day he has a believable eCPM of ~$10 - but based on his keywords must have a low CTR. |

bottom of the page is one of the hottest areas for adwords. Performs miles better for me.
Logically when pople load up a page they want to read it (not visit the advertiser. At the bottom of the page they are free to visit other content. Try it. |

Wow, that blog looks very blackhat. And it only has PR0 (dunno the current PR value of course).
How does he do that? Are you sure that's it, SuperJason, or is that your blog????
