CTR will follow deleted/reinstated keywords
FYI, I've read posts to the contrary...this comes from Google.
"To start from scratch, you can simply
delete all your keywords that are inactive for search. If you delete an
inactive keyword and then add it back to your account in any other
format or any other location (placing it in another Ad Group, for
instance), our system will still take the keyword's past account-wide
performance into consideration."
This is not what I thought either...time for some serious research...

OK. So the comment above was in adwords help section from an apparent Googlester member.
So after a little research I found this in the Tools<Find and Edit Keywords, when you are changing match type;
* This option will delete the keywords with your old match type and create new keywords with your revised match type. Your new keywords will not retain the history of your old keywords.
This is a little confusing, even to myself that has been in and out of adwords a million times.
I'm going to go post this where I found the other, but this is really good FYI for an adwords person.
