Arabic PPC
Does anyone know of effective Arabic PPC engines in countries relative to that language? I have searched for a couple of days now, and have come up empty handed. The Arabic market is very difficult to penetrate outside of organic engines, and I want to come up with more creative solutions.

I live in an Arabic country and am not aware of any Arabized PPC engines.

Ohhh tough question indeed. I was about to recommend SEO_AM to answer this but I see he doesn't know of any. Neither do I. The only thing I could recommend is to see about getting some of your pages translated to arabic and/or english and try to target Google and other engines for those areas. The problem though is the lack of support for such a language. You can also check into second tier engines and specific sites that specialize exclusively in this language. You can possibly purchase advertising for them to reach the arabic market. There might be some support in the major PPC engines for geo-targeting for regions that are predominately arabic. And finally the last thing you might be able to do is do a PPC with english ads targeting an arabic market. Heck maybe people search for terms including the keyword "arabic" in them, so that might be something to investigate.

Sorry it has taken so long for me to respond. This is excellent advice. I found a few second teir engines and sites that might prove well, but the return and amount of traffic derived from such interfaces is ambiguous to me.
I know the Arabic market is amazing for Forex companies (FXCM being one that is specifically interested in Arabic SEO) but as of now the expansion of broadband in Arabic lands hasn't quite come into complete fruition. I read the UN E-Commerce Development Report, which touched some on Arabic lands. Their growth rate is but a spec on the scale of internet users. It seems the Chinese market is flourishing -- growing 20% or so annually, and considering the population that's an astounding number. Thanks again! Nickolas |

Nick,
No problem, wish you luck. You best bet is probably to wait it out and keep an eye out for budding arabic companies offering advertising. You might even approach some websites that you find value to inquire about advertising. That might help as well. Also, do you have a link for the UN report, I would love to take a peek to see whats in it. Ben |

Hi Ben,
Thanks again. I see you're full of information. The United Nations E-Commerce and Development Report 2004 is a very interesting (and might I say, massive) document, which focuses on the expansion of broadband in foreign markets, and the development of technology and the internet throughout the foreign lands. Here's the link to the webiste, where you can download the entire document or view it by chapters. I recommend viewing it in chapters, which run about 60-150 pages. http://r0.unctad.org/ecommerce/ecommerce_en/edr04_en.htm Best, Nickolas |

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but I've been looking around the internet for local CPC/PPC Arabic websites, helping out a friend with his website on a tight budget, I actually found TWO, google and Ayna.com . Money was tight as I mentioned before, so we opt for Ayna's services (market is not as vast as google's, but if you want to beleive dmoz/google ranking, that website is the second most used for searching after google), if you want to target locally your best bet would be a local company.
Ayna do claim that they are the first "local" search engine to provide contextual advertising and ppc in the middle east. aynacorp.com Last edited by xploadz : May 16th, 2007 at 08:06 AM. |

Thank you for digging this thread up with new info. New or worthwhile information is good. I am not familiar with Ayna.com, but it appears pretty good; Arabic, French and English. |

that's what i loved about it, the three languages!
If any of you is targetting the Middle East, make sure that you have Arabic English and French. North African countries are "arabic countries" second language over there is french. GCC and Levant it's english mainly! |
