Any free resources for learning about PPC?

Hi,
Im a newbie and looking to learn how I can get the best results out of my PPC campaign, I have come across many "E-Books" that cost money, does anyone know any free resources (websites etc) that can give me some solid advice on setting up and managing my PPC campaign.

Thanks,
Richard.

is a good starter if you aim to start learning free, but there are a few reports out there which are well worth their price.

Just searching around forums will do you wonders. I'd also recommend starting a test campaign at 5 cents per click. There's no better way to learn than jumping right in.

I dont necissarily recommend starting out cheap or on the cheapest words, I do recommend starting out on google and overture to guarantee higher traffic quality. i also recommend starting out on really well targeted words and ads.

overture tip: build a big keyword list as exact match listings list above broad match listings

google tip: try to get a high clickthrough rate to lower click price after click through rate kicks in (1000 ad impressions on google for that keyword)

If you are going to run a test on AdWords, I'd suggest limiting ad distribution to Google proper. You have the option to block syndication to AdSense partners and their search partners (AOL, Netscape, Ask Jeeves, etc.). This will help limit the exposure and help stretch your test budget a little bit further.

Yeah, definitely take off content targetting.
