In essence, if you want a high CTR you need to:

    • Streamline your keywords (ie - target long-tailed keywords that match exactly what you offer). The broader the keywords, generally speaking, the lower the CTR.
    • Utilise matches: exact and phrase match is good for targeting specific niches, which will usually result in lower impressions, but a more qualified click (more likely to convert).
    • Optimise your Ads: include relevant keywords that will entice clicks.
    • Include a call to action in your Ads.

Unfortunately, the more competitive the keyword, the higher the price. The $3.80 is an estimate for first page placements - your position will fluctuate throughout the day, with certain campaigns only advertising at certain times of day.

Try looking at other keywords that are similar but are perhaps long-tailed - that may reduce the CPC and streamline your prospective audience.
