Baidu's stock sank pretty dramatically recently because of a potential threat from a new Chinese search engine from a company called Qihoo.
Anyone heard of it?
Qihoo is akin to Microsoft in China, i.e. the major software provider.

Sorry, but no. I get a host of hits from China, but Chinese college students just cannot afford to purchase our services. That being the case, I have decided, for now, to not pursue that market. Maybe later.
Looks like Qihoo are trying to get bigger in China. they are quite a new search company, and as the person says previously they were a software company.
If you look on the BBC website, there is an article about it yesterday.
Just posted an article on Qihoo this morning. What happened, as I understand it, is that Qihoo started putting its own search engine into its browser as the default choice. I saw an item (recently enough that it didn't make it into the article) saying that Baidu just launched its own browser. Gee, does any of this sound familiar to anyone?
