Zeal
Whats the deal with Zeal? Does it help out with getting backlinks? Is it worth the time to get
listed on there? Where does the zeal directory get propagated too? The "about" information is very vague and just says it will be used on the looksmart network but I can't find any information as too where.

Any site/page that is accepted in Zeal, will be shown in the Looksmart.com directory within a week. Looksmart entries - in turn - are used by various meta search engines including vivisimo.com and clusty.com . A good looksmart ranking can really help you there
 Google DOES show some Zeal hits, but it's vague whether PR is passed from Zeal pages to your site. Most believe Zeal will not pass PR. Zeal links can - however - show up in your link: or related: results. You'll have to judge for yourself if you want all that...

Zeal used to be highly valued because Looksmart used to syndicate results through MSN. Now that MSN has dropped Looksmart, I get zero traffic from Zeal. YMMV.
