Yahoo Express Inclusion Problem Help!
I've been trying to submit a client site to Yahoo for the past couple of days and I keep getting the following error.
-------- Cut Here ---- The following errors were found in your submission: We were unable to access your web page. please double-check your url. please correct and resubmit your information below. -------- End Cut ----- I've used the Express submit function for dozens of clients, so I know I'm doing the process right. This site is up and running fine. please advise. This is driving me mad. Thanks for your help. Last edited by chirag : June 14th, 2005 at 09:58 PM. |

Just keep trying.
There is sometimes a bit of a glitch in the sytem between yahoo and your site. GIve it 24 hours and resubmit. |

Paying $300 is to yahoo submit express is a big fat waste of money. YOu have no guarantees you'll get listed and you'll have to pay for it every year. If they refunded your money if you don't get listed it might be worth it but they don't so it's not.

I disagree
I think that if a client with a reasonable budget wants the best longevity that they should have their domain submitted to yahoo. As you know gman, i have bought lost of expired domains in the yahoo directory and they have all had good results with very little work on them. |

Perhaps the page you are submitting has a redirect in the headers? Whether or not that is the case, I would still contact Yahoo, they are pretty good at assisting. |

I think his problem was while yahoo were doing maintenence on the site and changing the way things work

At getting indexed, sure...but I still think it's a waste of money to pay $300 a year to get indexed. Course I also think it's a waste of time to manually search through the yahoo directory for expired domains Guess we'll have to disagree on this one. G-Man |
