Yahoo Directory ... Benefits PR?

From what I understand, adding ur link to yahoo directory helps Google PR? am i right?

Also what other benefits.. higher yahoo rankings? any other benefits? DMOZ expedited review?

Does DMOZ and yahoo collaborate there Directories?

From what I've raed is that your organic search results in Yahoo don't seem to benefit. For the rest, I don't really know.

A link in the Y directory will not help your PR.

There are a few benefits of getting a listing. One would be higher rankings in Y for your chosen keyword/phrase IF its stated in text they write for your link. But really its just another BL.

DMOZ has nothing to do with Y. The collaboration of directories is between them and G.


You should also be aware that any super duppa title you've worked on for your site will not be used for your Y link. This can be a pain unless you have a keyword rich domain name.

Personally id spend my $299 on something else, like a ipod nano! and just try and get links from all the other sites in their directory.
