What are the Top 10 Directories?

Hi, Other than DMOZ.org (by the way, seems totally improbable of ever getting into that directory, I will contain myself from ranting about them any further) what are the other 9 directories? Will I need to pay to get in some of them?

Thanks for any help.

For me personally, I found the Yahoo! directory to make the most difference to one of my sites. To be fair, its a paying service, but I guess as a human-edited directory I suppose they have staff to pay etc.

Made a difference to the rate at which I was indexed. Also, I believe business.com has a similar effect, and this is also a paying service.

DirMania.org is a good solid web directory that has good PR and I've had good results with my many sites with - they include you fairly quickly. Reciprocal required though.

maybe, because they buy popularity/links/pr/traffic you have to work for it, and at this point in time google doesnt seem to be taking it kindly with all the pentalizing hes doing.

they spend a lot of cash on marketing and linking.

I think it's a bit up in the air at the moment with goog declaring that they don't like paid links. How they can determine if a link is paid for sounds like Mystic Meg.
