I think that means when you sign up for amazon for example and they give you a tracking url you can submit those URLS. So a user clicks a listing and gets sent to Amazon under your tracking URL.

Just a guess.

Their terms say "The site is an affiliate site. Sites that contain affiliate links, with content provided by the associated partner, should not be listed. Web-Beacon sites should have original content. "

So, my question is, if i have a site that has original content, but contains affiliate links here and there, is it eligible to be listed in the directory?

Sites with affiliate tagged links would be reviewed on a case by case
basis. In order to get a site listed the site must have unique content, and
that must outweigh the affiliate tagged links. ;-)
