SOCEngine - Free Submission, also needs input
www.socengine.com - full fledged directory, free to submit, and you can choose your own anchor text.
Do you think I should continue to require a reciprocal link to build PR? Or should I switch away from it to make it easier. Thanks |

People tend to be very lazy when it comes to adding reciprocal links. You could perhaps make it voluntary requirement. Nick

Many webmasters, myself included hate having to give reciprocal links. You will find many link just for offering good and fast service.

Very slick looking directory! (i submitted my site)
I'm not entirely sure of the best way to go about it - but yes, you definately need to jump your PR and backlinks somehow - google is only showing 1 backlink. Requiring a reciprocal link for a free submission is one way to get backlinks - but more people are more likely to sign up if your subpages have PR. Sort of a catch-22. Eventually I think you will have to discontinue free submissions if your directory becomes popular enough. |
