You don't need a fax machine to get faxes. Get a fax-to-email fax number from CallWave. Try it free.

regional dir
Hello readers, i am trying to set up a completely local directory for my area. Its difficult to gather active webmasters in my town and i thought id post here because.. well you never know there might be others out there.
My directory is specifically aimed at websites or internet surfers in my area. How can i promote my site further. It is new and i would appreciate anytips or advice. Whats the best way to gather links for a completely local regional site. Im helping my area out for free. When dealing with a local situation should i start phoning people up and hassling them with emails or letting them come to me. Last edited by andy_f : September 30th, 2007 at 08:58 PM. |

You probably need to target your local area then. Perhaps try leaflet distribution. Advertising at your local Chamber of Commerce. Try putting ads in the local shops.
Good luck...

nice one, that totally slipped my mind , cool i allways see those business cards stuck up on a board in my local pub and in the chippy down the road.
Not many directorys have regional categorys so its hard to gain solid links. I want to gather links from my local area, its tough talking people in to trading links round here. Directory owners should get more cateogrys for regional or uk sites then i get a link and you get tons more pages. Last edited by andy_f : October 4th, 2007 at 09:08 PM. |
