Query for directory posting

Hello All,

Well I am new to SEO field, can anybody tell me :

1) My website is still to rank by google and Yahoo and MSN have
even not crawled it, so I thought before I do seo for it this is a
good option to bring traffic to website and get it submitted to
search engine and get ranked by them, am I right ?

2) should I buy anybody's paid service for that, and if so which
one is good and why, having low cost ?
Please guide me on this.

Thanks & Regards,

Nbt

Just submit to a few quality well established directories. Don't go the thousands of free directories route, it's a total waste of your time.

If you get into a few free and low cost directories that will help your crawl rate quite a bit.
1. www.dmoz.org (submit once and forget it)
2. I still like abilogic.com ($10-$30 fee)]
3. Best of the Web ($60-$250)
4. Find a couple of industry specific directories if you can

that's it, and I would make sure that you are listed in the local search directories of the major search engines (free) use this tool: http://getlisted.org/

You really should not pay for bulk submissions. They are worthless. Also no one needs to submit to search engines anymore. If you get some links to your site (Via the directories above for example) the search engines will find your website.

Then on to the real SEO......

You can submit to a list of free directories, they give you backlinks anyway...

But I suggest that you read about the basic link building tactics, such as article submission, social bookmarking, etc.
