Paid directories list - anyone got one?

Looking to add a site to paid directories, trying to aim at the 'financial' side but general will do. So if anyone has agood list I would really appreciate it!

Use DMOZ or ISEDB to find paid/free directories. Let me know if u need any help.

Have you worked through the list at strongestlinks.com/directories.php yet? It lists info on both paid and free directories, but you can always skip the latter if you want ;)

I personally like the list at http://www.internet-search-engines-...directory.shtml - it also links to a bunch of other lists of directories.

For financial field, you can also post a free link at a directory I run - http://www.avatarfinancial.com/resources-directory.php

Thanks to you all, yes done the strongest links thing and now moving on to the randfish and will also add to his own directory. I may put a list together myself when done.

I've added my website to BlueFind. I don't get too much traffic (my website is in portuguese tough...) but it is nice to have your website spidered, a link with your anchor text and some PageRank.

I'm sorry but I just cannot see the value of submitting to paid directories (possible exclusion of Yahoo). Today, most directories are almost akin to link farms. Nobody uses then except to get backlinks (there is little to no traffic from them). There are hundreds of free directories to get backlinks from. Most of the directories, after a while, are basically abandoned by their owners. I would rather do some Adwords or advertising with the money.
