New Directory - Experiment

Hello All,

Yes I am announcing yet another directory and yes I am asking for people to submit to it.

The difference is that I am putting up this site in order to experiment with some different theories I have about directories. So if you are submitting all I ask is that you NOT give a reciprical link. Part of this experiment is that it is a brand new site with 0 links. This way I can exclude a lot of factors and contol my IBL's.

I will be posting a list of what I will be testing and my results at some point. If I can put it together in a concise way, I may even make it part of my 1000th post (although I doubt I will be done that quickly).

Important - If you reply with something like "Submitted" or "Thanks" your post will be deleted . This post isn't to increase post counts but instead find something that is useful for members.

The directory is in my signature.

Please note: It has come to my attention (Thanks Wit) that because my nameservers were changed recently - See Script Category for that thread - some may see the old broken site. Please come back later if thats the case.

I'd be interested to hear your findings from other directories you have created. We have just created our own directory which we plan to use for 3 way linking campaigns. We are in the process of pointing a number of high PR links to the site but as we are using this for three-ways the sites which we will be listing on the site will not be reciprocating.

The only worry is this will drain the PR from the site. The hope is if we have a high PR site with not too many links on each page it will encourage people to enter into three ways. Although straight reciprocal link seems to be less faovoured by the likes of Google many people still misunderstand 3 ways.

Its interesting you say that. I get a lot of responses that indicate they think it is something devious. I don't know where they get that from.

I had one response the other day where the guy said. "We only do recipricol links as I have heard that 3 way links only benefit the third party".

Huh? :-?

Someone recently wrote that the recip is dying but its going to take a long time for that message to spread to the masses (These are the people still submitting their site to 50,000 Search Engines )

Jason, is one of your tests with this site specifically to do with reciprocal links or just links to the site in general?
