Is Directory submission through software advisable?

Hello People,

I am having a small doubt hope you will help me out.

I have been submitting my site in directories manually for quite some time now. Are submission in directories through softwares effective.

I am giving the same title of the site in all directories is it ok or I should keep on changing the title of the site when I submit in directories depending on the targeted keywords.

Software Submission packages are useless like those blog networks. Why get the same message, anchor, link , description on 400 useless places? It's worthless.

Would be better getting a link from a few quality resources which may send some traffic and all of them should have unique descriptions. The days of quantity over quality are long gone.

In fact those submitters would put your site at risk to many bad neighborhoods if you ask me.

We need to understand that even manual submissions can look like automated submissions to Google if all the links have the same anchors and descriptions.

So the best way to submit links [either manually or automated] is to rotate your link anchors and descriptions as much as possible. They will make your links look more natural to Google

Manual submissions are best. Automated submission may be treated as spam to Google and will not do any good
