I'm nearly there; will a yahoo listing help much?

I have been dancing between #14 - #16 on my keyword during this dance (or whatever you want to call it), moving up from #19 previously. This was the smallest jump during a dance in the 4 months my site has been indexed. I have my site in all the major directories I believe (except goguides, which i've submitted 2-3 times since last October), and yahoo. I know yahoo is in the middle of who-knows-what by purchasing Ink, and i know the $299 inclusion fee is not a good option for everybody, especially where Yahoo is at right now.
I'm curious if the yahoo directory listing would really benefit me though, and help me with that push to get into the top 10. I know it's not a yes/no type question, but I would like anyone comments.

The site is http://www.illuminous-times.com

Thanks in advance.

interesting thing is that there are 4 sponsored listings in the category that you would most probably choose: http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Shopping_and_Services/Home_and_Garden/Housewares/Candles/

so, maybe the section alone will help. do a search for candles in yahoo, the cat comes up.

the PR of that cat is 5, so it might help raise your PR.

it is also possible to be listed in yahoo once but be found in multiple cats, when you submit make sure to find the additional cats that you belong in and put it in the additional cat box. this way you can have two or more yahoo listings. I have a few.

So it might bring in some revenue from Yahoo alone as well as help increase PR, which might help you gain in the rankings.

For $299/year you need to sell X candles to make it worthwhile.

You figure out the ROI.

Hi

Just like to say hi to the Forum
My site at http://www.alienimplant.co.uk
is listed under the keywords alien implant on the first page of altavista only 2 down which is excellent BUT i only just submited to yahoo using submitwolf and it stuck me some miscellaneous link list about 3 quarters down the page in amongst people selling pots or something where is the logic in this? i submitted to the ufo category but no luck. Why do yahoo have to be so awkward?

you should manually submit to Yahoo and not use an automated submission program or company.
