Got in through Google....Now What?
I got into Yahoo! through Google and I got into DMOZ. The question I have is that I'm not in Yahoo's "directory" though. Will it make any difference on my site's ranking if I get into their directory or not? I already have my site at #1 in a certain keyword phrase, but no where to be found in the main keywords I would like. Is paying the only way to get into their directory?
Thx! |

Getting into Yahoo!'s directory will help increase your PR value.
Yahoo! most always requires a $300 submission fee (yearly) for commercial sites. But find the section you belong and click on the "submit a site" link, see if there is a free option. Can't hurt to try.

I did submit this weekend (no charge). How long does it take? 5 months like it took to get into DMOZ?

if you submitted for free, it can take 5 months. depends on when they get to it and if they want to add you.
that is what free gets you. keep checking the category to see if you get listed. |

I've hurd that they dump free submissions once a month, so it's a good idea to submit a site once a month.
