There seems to be debate about the value of directory submissions, though I have gotten good results for low-rank sites. I doubt it's worthwhile for established sites, but it does seem to help in pushing relatively new sites up a bit.

ie will they HELP your site climb the serps -- and I dont mean "yeah, I think so" but I mean you tested for same?

good good gosh...do you have ANY MF idea of what you're "up againsty" and how tough the seo paradigm is....or do you like most here just think that this is what you and your clients "deserve?"

I'm pissed by this....perhaps the term "urgent" as used by the OP grated on me..but good good gosh...why do these folks think that REWARD come without WORK?????

Well if you have submitted to all those, then you have proven you have the "search skills" to find more.

There are thousands out there and certainly not hard to find. Look through the numerous threads in the forums, there are lists, lists and more lists.

Dmoz & Yahoo are the best two directories, and they offer the most value. Other directories which offer reasonable value are directories with a good editorial policy. In other words they do reject sites; they don't just list any old rubbish. I believe there are a few of these type of directories about if you dig around. The most valuable parts of the web are probably undiscovered by the majority of SEO's.
