Good review. I didn't read it all, but I liked what I read! I have used
Aviva and thought it was a pretty easy process. I also like the owner's blog where where he posted a changing list of top directories based on SEOmoz's page strength tool, which takes into consideration many things as well as pagerank.

I dont think page strength alone will determine the best directories.

I agree with you.
But however, I think it's still better than using PageRank alone.

Anyway, there is no real way to measure how "powerful" or how "useful" a directory is.
