Choosing FREE or NO RECIP option when submitting to directories
I've recently launched 17 new sites last December 9th. Already half of them have a PR3 ranking. Question is in regards to submitting to all the directories. With so many new sites I have, it is impossible for me to pay for links on all the directories out there so I have been submitting all of them (tedious!) to various directories and I always choose the "free" / "no reciprocal link required" option.
I note one directory mentioned that the search engines pass right over these types of submissions when listed in the web directories . . . . very disheartening to hear. So my next question is WHY OFFER this option in the first place and are directories even worth it, after I really step back and look at all of this?
Insights appreciated....thanks.
