Business.com vs. Yahoo Directory

Hello good people.

I have a niche mortgage related website and I am contemplating between listing it on business.com or the Yahoo directory. It appears the PR for where my site would be listed is 4 on business.com and 0 on Yahoo.

I am more interested in buying the link to increase my SERP rankings as opposed to direct traffic from the site.

Is putting it on business.com a no brainer, or are there other factors that I am not aware of that I should be considering?

Great site by the way. I'm really learning a lot.

Thanks.

Is listing it on both not an option (money wise? or other?) At the very minimum either link is great to have just for the authority.

Thanks for the reply. Obviously it would be great to get them both, but the budget is pretty tight on this one. I am more wondering if you had to choose just one which one would be better.

IMO Yahoo gives many more links since you get into all of their country subdomains.
Business.com gives better links and you have a little control over the anchor text.

All in all I would say start with Yahoo. Yahoo is fairly inexpensive, easy to cancel and a trusted directory. However I would not forgo business.com. use it when you can.

As a standard I usually get into both. You should think about it, its going to be tough to run any kind of good SEO campaign without a budget that allows you to make over $300 purchases at a time.....

Business.com and Yahoo, both have their own benefits as Googler well said, you have to seek budget for these if you have a serious SEO campaign in your mind which ultimately have revenue generation as an ultimate goal in most cases...

Understanding your point of budget, I would say Yahoo should be first choice, yahoo listing helps directly in ranking as well....though business.com have other big benefits in PR and other popularity aspects so when you have a second budget, you can for that too.

an interesting discussion, generally i would agree with the people who are saying they prefer a yahoo listing over the business.com but your remark about the page rank of the page where the actual link would be listed in business is a big plus wouldn't you say? makes me hesitate to say go with yahoo.

though in general googler is right, you get into the many country sub-directories with yahoo and the Authority of yahoo is probably still higher than the other. sounds almost like a toss up to me.
