ODP submissions

Is there any way that one can tell if a ODP submission has been reviewed? If it has been reviewed and declined, is there any way that one can tell why it has been declined? If it has been reviewed and accepted, is there a way that one can tell it will show up in the ODP?

I hope that the solution does not involve hiring one of these SEO experts/"unbiased" ODP Meta editors.

I recently talked to one of these SEO businesses. Their sales pitch uses the fact that they have two ODP editors on staff to get business. If one wants to know what is going on inside ODP, you merely have to hire this SEO business. I guess there is good money in being an ODP editor, oops, I mean "unbiased" ODP editor.

I'd love to know some of this too.My friend's site has tried a few times to get into ODP, and no clue as to where it stands.Thankfully mine did get in months ago, but I'd like to see hers get there too

As soon as a site is accepted it appears in the DMOZ directory, although it won't show up for searches until some time later.

The only way of knowing if a site has been reviewed already is by posting a message at this site ...

As Gringo said, Resourse Zone ( http://www.resource-zone.com ) is a good place to go. There is a specific forum to ask the status of your site.

I just read the site guidelines. In addition to being, "unpaid", "unbiased", and "volunteers". These SEO experts/Meta ODP editors are also "unimpeachable".

Rule number 4 states: If your site has been rejected, please keep in mind that arguing about the editorial decision will not be tolerated.

Question: Just what does a "unpaid" SEO expert/Meta ODP editor charge for their services? ZERO? What service do they provide? Do they negotiate on your behalf behind closed doors with other "unpaid" editors for your site inclusion? Do they review the closed forums to which you have no access to provide you with the recommendations on getting your site in Google?

Enough with the hypocrisy and deceit. These editors are paid, not by ODP, but by the site submitter because the editors are the unimpeachable gatekeepers to the ODP! They often use their position for their own personal enrichment!

It will not be tolerated huh? Let me add another attribute ARROGANT!
