More than half the sites that get added to DMOZ were never submitted in the first place.

Nope. Resubmitting just overwrites the previous submission with the new date and moves your site to the bottom.

So is it all luck or is there a less often used method for getting an editor to look at your site. Maybe perhaps becoming an editor for a different category maybe?

I think you submit once and forget it. It's run by volunteers, to expect much more than a couple of month or year wait isn't realistic.

Resubmitting doesn't work. Know when to stop and move on...unless you're planning to make your moves on an editor.

Maybe you'd prefer another term which I cannot repeat here?? DMOZ does NOT repond in 95% of all sites submitted. Your ONLY advice is to NOT re-submit.. Kind of like telling a job seeker to give up after his first application. It's absurd advice and naive to think human behavior will EVER Stuffle from NON RESPONSE. Preach to the cows come home DMOZ but it will NEVER happen. The more you NON RESPOND the MORE repeat submissions you will get and to think it will hurt our chances of getting in, MORE RUBBISH. We submitted SIX web sites , waited six months, NOTHING. So, re-submitting will hurt our chances???, what a nice belly laugh!!!...;}

Where are you getting your information from that DMOZ is there to process submissions? Maybe you need to go away and understand what DMOZ is about, then come back and we can have an intelligent discussion

You are free to keep resubmitting....you just overwrite the previous submission with the new date. Your failure to get listed will then be your fault.

BTW, what is the relationship between the 6 sites you submitted. Did you read the guidelines about related sites that you agreed to when you suggested them? Did you break those guidelines? How do you think any directory should treat those who break the submission guidelines they agree to when suggesting a site.

As you seem unhappy with the service you expect DMOZ to provide you, can I suggest you ask for a refund.

See seem to be highly impulsive with jumping to conclusions. First, you ask a question, then you answer your own question, then you elaborate on your answer to your own question..WOW!!! If you had waited for a response I could have saved you a lot of effort. The answer is NO, the six sites were NOT related at all. Duuhh!
