How long will it take to update our site into ODP?

Hi.,

I have submited my site into google ODP Project at Nov'2006. But still now my site not indexed by ODP in their direcoty.
I have submited in the right path.

Any one pl. give me the right answer to me...that would be greatful.

Could be 2 minutes; could be 2 yrs; could be never (most submitted sites are not listable)

BTW Google have nothing to do with ODP/DMOZ, except just being one of about 3000 downstream users of the ODP database

Could someone please define what a listable site is? On the site submission page it gives obvious rules like no illegal sites, no keyword spamming, etc. That's common sense stuff to me, so you'd presume that most sites would get in but they don't.

It's been 3 or 4 months since I submitted so they may still add my site but I reckon that it was rejected due to a category mix-up. My company does visual post production (e.g. video editing) so I submitted it to Business: Arts and Entertainment: Media Production: Post Production. It says on the submission page:



Ok, firstly, there is NOTHING in the category title to suggest audio post production (which my company doesn't do) and secondly, the link to the suggested category returns an error saying it doesn't exist. Also, all of my non-audio competitors are listed in the first category.

Do you think this harmed my submission?

A listable site is a site that has information on it that is useful to surfers/viistors that is not already available from sites that are already listed in the category...ie a site that if added would increase the usefulness of the category (adding a site that does not contribute anything unique to the category is not going to increase the usefulness of the category)
