ODP is not a search engine. Their index is updated in a regular base, if a volunteer editor is available for the category and if he does his job.

The update of DMOZ into Google is occuring now and should contain any new work by the editor's. This is apparent to my by another post on dates.

I submitted a new site to DMOZ on 22nd of May and it appeared on the list within 48 hours. I suppose it must depend on the editor of your particular topic.
My site still doesn't appear on the google directory. As a newbie I hope this isn't a stupid question! Does anyone know if the update of DMOZ into google happens for all topics at the same time? Or does google reject some websites from DMOZ? |
