What for? Search engines have added filter so you can't get any value of an expired domain. Once it expires, the PR and backlinks go.

Not really I have plenty of expired high pr domains - none of them has lost its pr or ranking.

Can I ask you: if I'll buy expired Yahoo / Dmoz domain and redirect this domain on my site ---> http://www.bestcatalog.net can it help me to promote my site ?

Post not really worded properly, i thought you meant a domain owned by dmoz and yahoo have expired. Then i was interested, but this..im not. Search Google for expired domains you will get huge lists which you keep having to scroll down to see. Dan |

I wouldn't. If an editor doesn't recognize your site, or see a redirect, it might get taken off. It's better in the long run to just submit once to DMOZ and wait. Always remember, look towards the future and not just tomorrow. |

Not only does DMOZ not like redirects, e.g the actual site will be listed, not the URL that redirected to it, but DMOZ also knows about expired sites.

I agree! I know of 3 websites that just got removed from dmoz for those same reasons. |

Did anyone else notice the unnecessary live links across this thread? Are "we" moving away from the G Opt forum with those, to see how long they are kept up on this (less-visited) forum?
Very cunning ;) |

Please don't post live URLs in your posts.
It's considered as spammy if you have to post a domain name post it in www.domain.com format without hyperlinking the text
