Finding if a site is found in DMOZ

Hello.

I would like to find out (using as few steps as possible) if a specific site (like http://www.mywebpagedomainname123.com/page/) is listed anywhere in the DMOZ directory.

What is the easiest way to do this?

Thanks!

Hello, that does not work becuase of multiple domains. For example, cnn.org would return a false positive because CNN.com has a listing.

Thanks for the idea. Any more?

Search for mywebpagedomainname123.com/page/

It works - I tested it with a members.aol.com/nameofplace site.

You're gonna have to help me here. Are you seeing that as a result of the search in dmoz for cnn.org?

Hello, thanks for asking for clarification.

I want to find out if this page:
http://cnn.com/2000/ASIANOW/australasia/11/21/indonesia.australia.ap/index.html

Is located anywhere on DMOZ.

This does not find it:
http://search.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/search?search=cnn.com/2000/ASIANOW/australasia/11/21/indonesia.australia.ap/index.html

Althouh it is indeed there:
http://dmoz.org/News/Online_Archives/CNN.com/2000/November/World/Asia/

The above is just an example, but what I need to do is deturmine if a specific page, not just the domain, is found in DMOZ.

Thanks!

Looks like I missed it, no idea there. I'm really suprised that the specific url doesn't show up in the search. Sorry about that, anyone else?

Just keyword search the Title of the Article. That worked fine for me. Sometimes you get a search is overloaded/busy message but usually you can get through.

I have done some tests and it seems that urls can only be searhed for in a format domain.ext . If you inlcude more (like /path ) it seems to me only to search for DMOZ categories. Remember the DMOZ search is not intended to find single sites it is intended to find categories which have sites like the subject you are seaching for.
