Yes, I have experienced this on a few occasions and it is very frustrating
In fact the same happened a few times when I was submitting to become and editor, and when I got the error, I pressed the back button to try again but ALL of my lovely infor I typed out was gone

I think it happens when there's a high server load - maybe they're running the RDF dump again.

Re: Error when submitting.
I'm on a Mac using OSX and recently I've been encountering a variety of problems using forms; usually it's when I'm using IE5 InternetExplorer. If I switch to Netxcape 6, or go use the PC -no problems. I've heard the same complaint with some later versions of Windows -that IE has problems with forms.
It's been an extra headache lately. IE5 seems to be a real dog on Macs using OSX and some versions of Windows. -cris

I somewhat agree .. IE can have problems, particularly on SSL (https://) websites. Sometimes when I click the submit button I get the IE 404 error immediately, even though there is no way it could have looked up the domain so quick and even when the domain is online .. weird!!

Ive had this problem many times. Both on my mac (OSX) running Netscape, Safari, and IE, and on my pc (XP) with IE and Netscape. I figure its just the server having problems with the load, and the cgi app timing out. If anyone knows any good ways to avoid this please let me know!

I don't know, but I suspect ODP may be having some sort of problem. For the past couple of weeks, whenever I try to edit my cat the edit page is so s l o w to load and sometimes it never fully loads.
On Tuesday, while trying to edit in slow motion, I kept getting errors after doing the edit and clicking on update to save. The weird thing is, even though it told me there was an error, the edit would go through and they were all showing up. What does this mean? I have no clue, figured I give it a few days and try again.
