dmoz update: 'suggest url' still non-functional.

http://dmoz.org/
thu. sep. 25 2003 report

although i have noticed improvements with the web sites ability to serve up directory pages...the 'suggest url' function of the site is still inoperable. the cgi hangs and hangs.

this has been the status for over a week.
could be longer but thats as long as i have been tracking it.

if anyone has experienced better results...please report.

I too have been trying to suggest a site to DMOZ for over a week with the same results you are experiencing.

tues. sep. 30 update

well...at least dmoz is finally acknowledging a problem...
here is the latest message when you click the 'add url' button:

Submission Outage
The ODP 'add url' form is temporarily disabled
while we run statistics to track down some
performance issues.
It should be back on
Wednesday, October 1, at 2pm PDT.
:-(

so we will see....

DMOZ seems like it has had the most troubles then I have ever seen of any other website on the net - It is simply amazing that they still hold such a large place in ranking pages when I'm sure most of the time it is non functional...
