Hi Guys, I submitted a site to DMOZ a few days ago and noticed the above link as a referrer.. Does chainsaw mean that the link was cut ?? doesnt sound good...! anyone know what it means (if anything)? |

That just means the editor has seen your site. I dont think chainsaw means you were cut, if you were booted, it wouldnt go to ur site again, hence it wouldnt be a referer.

The chainsaw=1 referrer just means that the editor accessed your site clicking on a link in one of the full list mode of the unreviewed queue (we can sort unrevieweds by different orders, like site title, date of submission, url, etc.).
It's called "chainsaw" since editors can check/unceck sites in this list and mass-move/delete checked ones. Useful to mass-delete duplicate submissions, known spam, etc. But when a site is actually removed there's no referrer sent. |
