Why shouldn't I go with the "recommended" base rate this company is providing?

This is a local provider of SEO services:

    goo.gl/AJCNHT

Most companies are starting at 1000/month

But this one is 300/month. You can see if you scroll to the bottom.

I'm a small business owner thats starting to gain some traction.

I'm really ignorant when it comes to the SEO world so I was hoping I could get some help.

Hope I've come to the right place.

The 5 pages stands out to me.

My website will probably become more then 5 at some point in time. Will this be the only limiting factor to choosing this option? The rest is another language to me at this point in time.
Hoping someone might have some good advice for me. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks guys. I know the value you add to businesses like mine.

I own a registry. Why do you say they are a waste of money?

They sound horrible in so many ways, it's pure SEO by numbers.

What does "2-5" keyword research even mean?

Why can you only have three "touchpoints" with your "SEO expert" a year? If you're paying someone to do something they should be contactable all the time.

Google My Business? Well that takes all of 5 minutes.

Citation building on other websites = worthless directory submissions

5 pages of website optimisation...great, if you have a 5 page website.

Real time YP analytics, no idea what that is.

Even the premium service offers "4 blogs a year" for "businesses in competitive industries", can see that making a huge impact.

It's also blatantly clear with all the "up to" and "prices from..." language they'll be looking to up your spend for every last little thing.

Also have a look a Yellow Pages CA reviews online, they're overwhelmingly hideous. Chances are they'll do the bare minimum on your site and tie you into a contract.

Genuine SEO companies simply don't work like this. If you're serious hire a firm or an individual with a solid reputation, it won't be as cheap but if there's one industry where you get what you pay for it's digital marketing, although a high price doesn't mean a high quality service either.
