    Why GWT Showing 6 Month Old Deleted Pages in Crawl Errors Section


    I wants to know why My GWT Showing 6 Month Old Deleted Pages in Crawl Errors Section.

    Getting all pages response code - 404 and detected in last month may - 2016

    I'm trying to better understand what you mean. Basically, you deleted some pages 6 months ago and now they're showing up as 404 errors in Search Console? Is that correct?

    404s are not necessarily bad. And they don't always require action. Sometimes you can safely ignore them. Sometimes you might need to put a redirect in place or something. Google has more about this here:

    Fix Not Found errors for important URLs with 301 redirects. While it's normal to have Not Found (404) errors, you'll want to address errors for important pages linked to by other sites, older URLs you had in your sitemap and have since deleted, misspelled URLs for important pages, or URLs of popular pages that no longer exist on your site. This way, the information that you care about can be easily accessed by Google and your visitors.
    Definitely give those pages a read!

    I would also grab a copy of screaming frog and run it on your site to confirm you have no internal links pointing to these pages. If you do then the 404's wont disappear.
    Often when people delete pages they do forget to remove internal links so its worth a check.
