    Sudden Drop in Indexed URLs

I am working on <snip> and <snip>, I have submitted 35 lakh URLs and 15K URLs to google respectively. One month back Google was indexed 4lakh and 10K URLs respectively. After that I have done some changes in Content and used Popup. Within 20 days the indexed URLs gone back to 16K and 1.8K respectively.

I have questioned in webmaster forums, one of the employees from google given reply with few corrections, I done all and resubmitted on 4th December. But still it is going back and there is no improvement. I am unable to find the proper reason behind this. Can anyone help me to solve this issue and to index all those URLs again.

Here I am adding the conversation link with webmasters forum.

    Thanks & Regards

As said by the person on the webmaster forums, you were cloaking. You resubmitted on the 4th of December after you fixed said issues. I hate to tell you but Google does not operate on your schedule. Since you were cloaking, you may have a long wait till Googlebot comes back around and takes another look.

Thanks for the quick response. So, "is de-indexing normal after fixing the cloaking?" Or should we wait for some more time before the index picks up again.

    The simple answer is "YES"....

If you use black hat tactics and Google finds out... then expect Google to exact a heavy toll on your site.

Yes, De-indexing is a normal response for blatant abuse of Googles' Terms of Service.

    Edited to add....

I would check your Google Account for a manual penalty. If you don't have a manual penalty, then your problem is from an algorithmic penalty, which is a little easier to recover from. So yes, it may just be a matter of time.

Thanks for your help, we are not having any manual penalty in our google account. I am attaching the screen shots here. Hope Re-indexing happen soon.

Probably just a matter of time then.

I would for go any more black hat tactics, also back out any that you may possibly be using on the pages. Just saying...

    Give it a few weeks.
